BBQ Style Pot Roast

Description: A hearty meal made with Bonfatto’s own Hawaiian BBQ Sauce.

Ingredients:

2 ˝ to 3 pound beef chuck pot roast

TBSP margarine or butter

Medium onions, sliced and separated into rings

Cloves garlic, minced

Cup Bonfatto’s Hawaiian BBQ Sauce

1

4 oz. can sliced mushrooms, drained

1

Tsp dry mustard

1

Tsp chili powder

Directions:

Trim fat from meat.  Sprinkle with salt and pepper.  In a Dutch oven, brown meat on all sides in margarine.  Remove meat.  Add onions and garlic.  Cook until tender but not brown.  Stir in Bonfatto’s Hawaiian BBQ Sauce, mushrooms, dry mustard, chili powder, and ˝ cup water.  Add meat.  Bring to boiling; reduce heat.  Cover; simmer for 1 ˝ to 2 hours or until meat is tender.  Remove meat; boil pan juices gently, uncovered, for 3 to 5 minutes pr to desired consistency, stirring often.  Serves 8 to 10.
